Timelines will depend upon the engagement. For a brand-new engagement, it usually takes longer to work through any backlogs of financials that you may need, but typically once any capturing is complete a reasonable turnaround time for a set of financials would take 5 business days. For each engagement, we will provide you with a reasonable estimate after we have discussed what your needs are and we have determined an project plan that takes into account each aspect of the engagement and my availability.

Sometimes you may come across a person offering services in accounting or taxation but how do you verify that they are registered to provide these services?
For Chartered Accountants registered with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), it is as easy as navigating to their "Verify a Member" website: https://www.saica.org.za/verify-a-member/ and entering the details of a member to verify their registration and status. In our case, you enter the name Sbonelo Mtambo and there you go, he is registered with SAICA and is registered as a Tax Practitioner.
But what about if you want to directly confirm a Tax Practitioner with SARS? this is just as easy, by navigating to: https://secure.sarsefiling.co.za/TaxPractitionerQuery.aspx and entering your professionals practice number, in our case its PR-0099841 and making sure to enter the Security PIN shown on screen to prove you're a human, and thats it, it will show up right away!
